Tasting Notes: Cocoa-berry aromas open the nose, complemented by toasty oak spices, plum, cherries and a touch of smoke and violets... succulent blackberry and Bing cherry flavors, accented by varietal notes of black pepper and espresso. Rich, dark chocolaty tannins escort the vibrant fruit into long finish. (Marketview Liquor)
Wine Folley: Bold red color, certainly not the dryest of Cabernet Sauvignons but a strong finish. Definitely got a strong tang of Cherry, not as peppery as other Cab Sauv's I've tried.
Review: It's a solid red wine! Maybe not my favorite but it gets the job done. I paired it with a homemade pot roast which actually did help bring out the flavors of the meal and wine. I like dryer wines and I'd say this was a decent find. Got hints of blackberry as well as some spice, though as noted earlier, not nearly as strong as other blends I've had. My roommate, who prefers white wines, quite enjoyed this bottle with our dinner. It did it's job and I'm grateful for that!
