Tasting Notes: The 2019 vintage is a brilliant example of Pinot Noir from a consistent and warmer than average Western Oregon growing season. In the glass, there is a garnet-colored center with bright ruby edges. The nose has rich, fruit-forward aromas of bright Bing cherry and raspberries, with hints of hazelnuts. The palate echoes with ripe strawberries and dark chocolate up front, followed by earthy and spicy notes of forest floor and clove. (Foley Food and Wine Society)

                                                                Wine Folly : Very nice color, definitely on the lighter side as                                                                    described  for an Oregon vintage. Pleasant tartness, did not get                                                                 the herbal elements as described but cranberry was a flavor I                                                                    noted in its profile      

 Review: I'm glad I got this wine out with my folks because it     was pricey. With that being said, we liked it so much we             ordered a second bottle and took it home. I had this with cod, rice and spinach and while they say you should have something lighter with white fish, I thought the two paired very well. Floral accents and apple were noted. My mom especially liked this wine, she's a big fan of reds and this light-bodied red was one she happy to consume.

Wine Tasting- Moonx Cabernet Sauvignon

Name- MOONX Varietal- Cabernet Sauvignon Region- California, not specified Vintage- 2020 Price- 8.99  Tasting Notes-  "This juicy, super dense wine is inspired by the total blackness of a new moon-a lunar phase occurring when the sun, earth and the moon are all aligned. Loaded with intense flavors of blackberries, black cherry and dark chocolate, Moonx is the perfect wine to enjoy with roasted meats, barbeque, chocolate or just by itself." (Label on Bottle) Wine Folly : This was a very fruity cabernet. Really got cherry, red grape, and blackberry. Smelled vert nice as well. Not a lot of tannins, very low acidity. Also not dry at all. I would've enjoyed pairing this with some steak or chocolate as the label suggests. Review: This was an interesting bottle of wine. I would've liked my Cabernet Sauvignon's to be dryer than this, but this bottle has a nice juicy flavor. I would definitely get this bottle again, possibly for a friend who doesn't normally like reds....

Wine Tasting- Beliveau Chardonel

Name: Afternoon Delight Varietal: Blend, mostly Chardonel supported with Vidal Blanc Region: North Fork of Roanoke, Virginia Vintage: 2019 Price: $24.00 Tasting Notes-  A lightly oaked dry white blend that features notes of melon, honeysuckle, kiwi, and white pepper. ( vinoshipper ) Wine Folly : I will be comparing this to Chardonnay as wine folly does not have a designated section for Chardonel; a blend of Chardonnay and Seyval. This was an oak aged Chardonel, however I did not detect much a woody flavor. Yellow apple was definitely noted.
